is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Illinois and is nationally certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Megan completed her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. She earned her undergraduate degree in Environmental Policy at Colby College in Maine.
Megan has received advanced, postgraduate training in the treatment of infertility, pregnancy and gynecology. She has studied with a variety of well known practitioners of Chinese Medicine including Jane Lyttleton, Giovanni Maciocia, Randine Lewis, Bob Flaws and Debra Betts. Megan is experienced in helping couples conceive, either in conjunction with Western treatments or naturally on their own. She enjoys continuing care for her patients throughout pregnancy and beyond.
Emphasizing the importance of preventative health, Megan helps her patients find ways to include healthful habits in their daily lives to strengthen the body and prevent future illness. Incorporating acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Eastern nutrition, breathing techniques, essential oils and other tools within her practice, Megan is passionate about helping her patients heal. She combines a gentle needle technique with compassion and a true desire to see improvement in the health and well-being of her patients. In addition to her acupuncture practice, Megan is also the mother of two young boys (the second born at home) who have been taking their herbs and getting acupuncture since infancy.
